Following the government announcement of a 4-week national lockdown, we want to reassure you that we are staying OPEN.
As a healthcare provider we are exempt from closure and can continue to provide treatments to existing and new patients. There are minor exceptions, for example, cosmetic acupuncture as it is not usually performed for medical reasons.
The government announcement encouraged people to continue to access all urgent and routine healthcare appointments and the rules allow people to leave their home for medical and health related reasons.
We will continue to implement our stringent COVID-19 mitigation (see below). If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch by email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 01480435554.
COVID-19 infection control measures
We are taking every possible precaution to keep you and our staff safe.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn by all practitioners when providing treatments in close proximity to the patient. This includes a face mask, gloves, an apron and eye protection (for aerosol generating procedures).
All patients will be asked to disinfect their hands on arrival and will be provided with a face mask to wear throughout the consultation. Please watch the videos below about correct hand disinfection techniques and how to put on and take off surgical masks.
DISINFECTION and ARRIVAL PROCEDURE
Extra time is allowed between each appointment for thorough disinfection and ventilation of the rooms. When you arrive, please do not enter the clinic; wait outside and we will come out and invite you in when we have completed the disinfection process and are ready to see you.
All linen has been removed to reduce the risk of spread of infection. Please wear loose comfortable clothing that can be easily rolled up. For some treatments you may need to undress to your undergarments, so you might want to wear sports or swimming style underwear to feel more comfortable.
NO WAITING FACILITY
Our reception room and reception support services are temporarily unavailable. We will re-introduce these as soon as it is safe to do so. When telephoning us, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we are free.
*NEW* TELEHEALTH FACILITY
For patients who are unable to attend in person we now offer Telehealth (virtual) appointments during which we will teach you simple self-treatment techniques to manage your symptoms.
To reduce the need for handling of cash or cards, patients are asked to pre-pay online or over the phone before or soon after each appointment. Thank you for your understanding.
We are pre-screening all patients before each appointment. Those patients who have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone positive for COVID-19, or those who need to self-isolate will be asked to postpone their appointment.
Clean hygienic interior
We have made changes to the clinic interior to make cleaning and disinfection easier.
